Who
are we.....
Ngahau
Davis, has worked for
the trust since 1994, returning home to Moerewa after living in both Auckland
& Wellington. Ngahau is a whanau support worker, drug & alcohol
educator and community development worker. Ngahau is usually heard
before he's seen, and when you do see him, you dont forget him! Ngahau
is married to Debbie with 4 tamariki
Helen
Heta is our accounts
lady, and has worked for the trust for the last 2 years. Helen is lovely...
everybody says that! and takes everything in her stride, between paying
all our wages (most important) and our bills(not so important) she looks
after Cyril (her husband) and their 7 children, the smaller ones can usually
be found around her feet at the trust after school or during the holidays
and they are a welcome addition to all thats happening everyday at the
Trust
Parani
Penney manages
the OSCAR, Holiday programs & Homework centre, when she isnt doing
that she is making sure everything in the office is running smoothly,
if that isnt enuf she is usually chasing Laurie, for drivers licence details
or Ngahau & Cyril for stats for contracts... if the midnight oil is
burning at the trust its usually Parani (and she finds it really diffucult
hiding her red cape under her clothes) she is of course... Wonderwoman
Tania
Munroe is
our brand new office support person, she has been working for us officially
for the last 2 weeks, but has done heaps of stuff for us over the last
few years, our office support workers dont seem to last very long. I think
we overwork them, so good luck Tania..... (we've got bets on you lasting
the longest!)
Joe
Riwhi is our youth worker, Joe spent many years
working at the freezing works and felt that it was time for a change,
he is awesome with young people, and he has recently been awarded the
Moerewa Medal of Honour... for his services to the community, (looking
after Matenga) One
other note about Joe is never lend him anything.... he usually loses it
and never let him near anything electrical, he will usually try to fix
it, even if its not broken..
Kimo
Peita aka The Retrofitting man, as he is known up here in the north.
Kimo manages the Retrofitting Team and the Housing Repairs Project. Kimo
has created many opportunities for options in the building area so watch
this space. Kimo is another one that is usually burning the midnight oil
at the Trust, a very hard working member of the team.
Kay
Tana Miss Efficient, you can
find Kay every afternoon between 3 - 5.30 pm working with the hordes of
kids who attend the OSCAR program and the Homework centre(give this woman
a gold medal)
Rosina
Riwhi Zena is still attending college and works at the trust on a
part time basis, she is to Kay, what Robin is to Batman. She is full of
energy which is needed when working with all the tamariki at the OSCAR
program. She also is on deck in helping to run the holiday programs, another
invaluable member of our team
Debbie
Davis job shares
the Kaitataki A Rohe position with Suz. They are involved in marketing
Moerewa as a visitor destination. She can usually be found at "Kupenga"
2 doors up from Tuna Cafe, knee deep in town plans and computers...
Cyril
Heta, Mista do it... after
all the talking is done and when the rubber meets the road Cyril is one
of the guys you can always count on to do the mahi. He works at the Trust
as a whanau support worker and a drug & alcohol educator, and everything
else that is needed to be done
Suz
Tetai job shares the Kaitataki A Rohe postion, part owner of the very
popular Tuna Cafe... Suz brings her own special flair and creativity to
the team. Another very hard worker, and another awesome product of Ngati
